Yesterday, Nandimobile launched its mobile directory in Ghana. The Infoline Mobile directory had been in stealth mode for a few weeks. Now the over seventeen million (17 million) mobile users in Ghana can search for and obtain information about businesses on their phones. Such information include, the direction or address of the company, their contact details and the specialty of the businesses. The Infoline businesses directory is an extension of the company’s software which enables businesses to engage mobile users with their campaigns and promotions. Infoline comes few months after Nandimobile was awarded for its maiden service, Gripeline.

Mobile users only need to send Find [name of the company] to the short code 1945 after which results will be delivered within seconds on the person’s mobile device. If the directory contains more than one entry with the name searched, up to three results are delivered for the users’ convenience with no extra cost. The introduction of this service breathes a fresh air into the business environment by offering an avenue for companies in Ghana to list and make their information available to over seventeen million mobile phone users in Ghana.

The company has provided a page for businesses to list if they are not already in the directory. With over 18,000 listings, the award-winning start-up seeks to make the Infoline business directory the first option for mobile users in Ghana whenever they seek information about businesses in the country, at an affordable cost. The service runs across all networks in Ghana. Unlike other Value Added Services running on short codes, this service costs only 10 pesewas, charged by the users’ Telco.
